Home. Albuquerque and the East Mountains. The Water Authority blends San Juan-Chama surface water with groundwater and publishes hardness zone by zone, so what reaches your house depends on where in the city you are.

Sandoval County, NM
Rio Rancho, Corrales, Bernalillo and Placitas. Rio Rancho runs on deep groundwater wells rather than the Albuquerque blend, and much of Corrales and Placitas is on private wells - three genuinely different waters inside twenty miles.

Los Lunas, Belen and Bosque Farms, down the Rio Grande valley. Smaller municipal systems and a lot of private wells, which is a different treatment question from a city supply.
